What is a Physical Security Key?

A physical security key is a tangible device that provides an extra layer of security when logging into online accounts. It works by generating a unique authentication code that is required in addition to your password. This additional step ensures that even if your password is compromised, an attacker cannot gain access to your account without the physical security key.

The Advantages of Using Your Phone as a Security Key:

1. Convenience: By using your phone as a security key, you eliminate the need for carrying an additional physical device. Most people already have their smartphones with them at all times, making it a convenient and readily available option.

Step 1. Enable 2-Step Verification on your Google Account

Step 2. Set up your Phone as a Security Key

– Select your phone from the list of available devices and click “Add.”
